Ramon C. Sunico The Poet's Alcove, Mag:net Gallery Katipunan hosts Ramon C. Sunico's ~ In Vino: Bruise decantata~. Using the wine label as a frame for his poetry, Sunico re-presents a selection of poems in English and Filipino - some new, some decanted from his book Bruise: A 2-Tongue Job. The current national fellow for poetry of UP Diliman's Likhaan/Creative Writing Institute and manager of Cacho Publishing House, Ramon C Sunico aka RayVi is a writer of poetry and stories for children. He edits, designs and produces books, while occasionally teaching creative writing online for the Konrad Adenauer Center for Journalism in Ateneo de Manila. Known as one of the country's leading bilingual poets, he is also a recipient of the school's Irwin Chair for writers and the Gawad Alagad ni Balagtas of the Unyon ng mga Manunulat sa Pilipinas (Umpil). His works have been recognized both here and abroad and are included in various trade and textbook anthologies, including Macmillan NY 's This Same Sky, an American Library Association Notable Title and Pearson's ASG World Literature textbook series with book, CD, audio cassette and Braille editions. With In Vino, Sunico indulges in his preoccupations with poetry, book design and liquid pleasures.
