Mag:net News MAG:NET GALLERY WEBSITE IS UP Mag:net Gallery is proud to present its own website…> THE MAG:NET ART TRIANGLE IS BACK! The art community especially the Makati-based may now rejoice with us. The closure of Mag:net Gallery ABS and Paseo mid this year resulted to the consolidation of our Katipunan base. First among tasks was the refurbishing of the Backroom which has become a showroom for the works of half of the artists who have actively exhibiting with us in the last 5 years. Collectors and art lovers may now view the hundreds of artworks from our inventory with ease and comfort (by appointments only including Sundays). The main gallery for changing exhibitions which is open to the public from 10am-12midnight Mondays-Saturdays has also undergone slight re-layouting to accomodate additional walls. More art talks and video/film screenings by visual artists have also been intensively included in our programming. We also launched The Wall at our first franchise in the Bonifacio Global City mid this year. It’s a 2-storey high art space incorporated by partner Ralph Walker in his now talk of the town design of the Mag:net Café High Street which has been exhibiting site specific art projects aside from occasionally functioning as a satellite to exhibit selected works from our Katipunan Backroom. To view current show at The Wall click here> http://magnetgalleries.com/exhibits.php?this_id=2&year=2007&month=12&day=3.Integral part of the Katipunan consolidation is the setting up of the Mag:net Virtual Gallery which can now be accessed through http://magnetgalleries.com making it now possible for anyone around the world to view works from our on-going and past shows as well as our inventory from the Backroom. And now comes the opening of Mag:net Gallery Ayala Avenue in January. Formerly operating as a purely Mag:net magazine shop and located at the Columns, Ayala Avenue cor Gil Puyat Avenue, the space will be known as Mag:net Gallery Ayala Avenue starting late January which completes once again the Mag:net Art Triangle comprising the 3 locations: Katipunan (Quezon City), High Street (Bonifacio Global City) and Ayala Avenue (Makati). See you soon at the opening of Mag:net Ayala Avenue and launching of the new Mag:net Art Triangle.
